MTA start problem

hi

when i press "Play MTA San Andreas" the little window opens where it says "loading" but after just 1 sec it disappears and nothing happens. What is wrong? I have version 1.01 if that means something?

thank you, now i can enter gta, but it says need "race mod" or something when i join a server ?

EDIT: never mind, figured it out i think at least it works now,
