Grand Theft Auto 3

I've recently stumbled upon Multi Theft Auto, previously a SAMP user, I love the idea of Grand Theft Auto multiplayer, and wanted to play GTA 3 online. I've tried downloading 0.5v but for some reason it wasn't opening, it said it couldn't read it or something of those regards. So my questions are, is GTA 3 still being played online, and if so how do I join the carnage?

Well do people play MTA for GTA 3? I have San Andreas as well...I just want to play online.

For GTA3 and VC you need MTA 0.5, for San Andreas you will need to download MTA:SA DM

MTA 0.5 has lost it's server browser so the amount of players has dropped. But me and a few others play GTA3 every couple of days.
