Markitos007
Hi there. First of all, thanks for your interest in reading this post; It's very important to get this working, so I'm going to do this post the most especific I can, and the clearest I can. First of all, my machine runs under Ubuntu, Linux. Right now I'm using the Debian dedicated server installation. Everything seems to be fine; Server starts up, runs gamemodes, can connect and play. Here comes the trouble: When I try to download from my server I get several errors: - Download Error #8 - Download Error #0-28 - Before downloading, screen stays black for a while. These erros don't just happen to me, they happen to anyone connecting to my server... I beg you to help me getting this errors fixed, or simply suggest, anything will do: I can't cross my arms and wait for it to fix its self! Regards, Mark. Chicano_18
I think you didnt forward your ports or all of them. You have to check your ports and check if your firewall is blocking mta. If it is unblock it. Link to comment
Woovie
Yes, 0-28 is definitely ports. Well for me it was. Link to comment

OffRoader23
Check the config for this line: <!-- This parameter specifies whether the builtin http server is going to be used. Values: 0 - disabled , 1 - enabled ; default value: 1. Optional parameter. --> <httpserver>1</httpserver> <!-- This parameter specifies the TCP port on which the server will be accepting incoming http connections. It can be set to the same value as <serverport>. It's a required parameter if <httpserver> is set to 1. --> <httpport>22010</httpport> <!-- This parameter specifies whether connecting players will be able to download needed resources for them from an external site rather than from the server. 0 - disabled , 1 - enabled; default value: 0. --> <httpdownload>0</httpdownload> Make sure the HTTP port is different from the server port, and that the settings are set this way to download from your server. Make sure the servers completely off when you change the config or it won't save. Link to comment

silent785
Perreando if the error appears, click ok and open your console to read the description about the error. Link to comment
Guest
The same thing is happening to friend right now; We're trying to join the same server, and we're on the same router, and he keeps getting download error #0-28 and I think my config file disappeared. I'm lost, and need help badly. Thanks. EDIT: All my shit was gone, I had to copy it from the second computer. Link to comment
