Dead message lag

I was on a server with 40 people. Every time someone dies I get that message that xxx killed xxx but when I get that message my game skips a few frames. This makes the game unplayable every time I kill someone or someone kills me I also get that lag. I never had this problem before. I think it's because there are 40 people in the server.

well i have the same problem when a vote appears, sometimes when i use the map and while the serverlist refreshes. would be cool is this could be fixed.
