need help on make new sever anyone help me

guys i really need help to start one i am not that good with these tihng untill someone tells me what i have to do to get it going so if any of you dont mind helping me get one and how to get admin panel workin and changeing sever name would be great thank you

to change most of yhe settings u need just open the folder that u installed MTA into

within open mods folder then deathmatch folder

right click mtaserver.cfg and open with notepad

i think first setting is server name just put name where it says default MTA server

u can probably figure the rest from there if your not using a router

to get the admin panel running u need to go to the MTA home page and read the server manual in the wiki

bit hard to understand but if u get stuck just add another post

thanks for that but when i start sever i load game with sever thing running and go browesr sever list and then cant find my game

to find your own game click quick connect and enter

I.P. address 127.0.0.1 port 22004

that should link to your server

before u do that in the server window type stopall as one word

then type start broph

then fr

now start mta dm and use quick connect option above

that should give u freeroam with the whole map and a few cars to test with

2nd option is to leave server as is and use quick connect option then

when you connect and get black screen press f8 and type votemode

press f8 again and u should have options to pick game 1-8 deathmatch,capture the flag,team,hay,fallout

hope this helps but again if u have router gets more complicated

ok i got into the sever but my friends cant i gave them the ip the port and the pass and it ssaid connteion timed out how can i get them in ????????

if your on windows xp you need to find your internet ip

go into control panel click network and internet connections

then network connections

then right click your connection then click status

then click support tab

give your friends the ip address there

also are u using a router?

with bt home hub you need to open ports go to http://www.portforward.com
