Guest
Hi...wow this is annoying I install it normally, and everything seems ok. When I click on the icon, it comes up with 'Invalid Serial Number. Reinstall MTA' I do reinstall it, and it still doesn't work. I am reluctant to reinstall GTA SA, as I think the disk is broken or something, so it doesn't let you install it anymore. I have Windows XP, and yes, my version of SA is completely legal. Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED. ^^Nevermind; I am a noob. It works now. .....Ok, another problem. Crash after splash screen MTA crashes after the 'Stop playing with yourself' logo. Both single player and the MTA: Race ran fine before. Try downloading the latest DirectX Runtime files from Microsoft. Also check in Task Manager, if gta_sa.exe process isn't already running. If you run at any substandard resolutions (e.g. 960x720), try to change your resolution to a commonly supported one (e.g. 640×480, 800×600, 1024×768, 1152×864, 1280×1024) by launching Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in normal mode, setting the new resolution and exiting. It's this one. I tried changing resolution. Nothing. I tried installing Runtime files. Nothing. And no, gta_sa.exe isn't running. Please, there must be something that can help me... By the way, when it crashes, the screen is black for a second, and there is a 'ping sound.' presumably there is a box telling me something, but it disappears so quickly... Link to comment
AlienX
Check to see if there were any log files generated in the MTA dirs. There are 2 of these One in program files and One in your GTA:SA folder. Link to comment
Guest
^^ok this is just a complete joke now. Now, after the 'start playing...' screen it says (the splash screen stays up by the way ) 'Could not start GTA San Andreas. Try restarting, or if the problem persists, contact MTA at (website)' Anyway, I'll check for the dirs...I'm a noob, so could you please verify where these are ...is one 'C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas\server\mods\deathmatch\logs' and if so, where is the other one? If not, then where are they? PS: I think I checked, and I can't find anything in the log...but could you tell me their location just in case. Link to comment
