MTA wont start on XP laptop.

I recently installed SA and MTA on my other computer (laptop with XP), but MTA dosent work. SA works fine when i just play single player, but when I start MTA the only thing that MTA does is play the R* & N* spray paint video and the SA intro. After that it stay at a grayish black screen until I end the process. I've uninstalled and reinstalled MTA SA versions 1.1 and 1.0 several times, but the same thing happens with both.

It may also be helpful if I mention that when I tried to use SA:MP, as soon as I pressed 'New Game' an error came up saying something like : "gta_sa.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close"

have you patched your GTA?

maybe your graphics card cant cope on your laptop.

my PC did exactly the same black screen etc.
