i noticed many game bugs in mtavc that should be fixed in version 0.5.1 they are as follows

- other players and players in cars are very choppy when they move around

- the game crashes after u play for 30-60 mins

- sometimes when u try to join a server the server browser glitches up and u can't join any server till u restart the mta client

- the security of this version is low. i go around in servers all the time and people use hacks like no tomorrow

- the game is very laggy with the client. the game runs smoothly without no lag at all in sp, but online the game is very slow

- sometimes there is a major bug in the game. i was playing with a friend once and he said my car was on fire and that all the parts were torn off it and everything, but on my screen, the car wasn't even smoking, and it didn't have a scratch. when the car blew up on my friends comp, the car suddenly fully repaired itself on my friends screen, just as it looked on mine. a few days ago, my car was on fire, so i ditched it for a new one. i saw a guy jumping into the car, and when it blew up, he drove away with the same car, without a scratch or smoke

- i can't create a server at all on the client. when i try to setup the server, it makes an error sound, and when i try to startup the server, the client crashes.

- on the vice city crusaders team, when u die, and try to spawn as one again, it always says "disconnected: suspected trainer usage", even when ur not even using any hack or trainer at all.

these r the bugs that i found. just informing the developers of the client of some of the bugs that i've noticed so that they can hopefully be fixed, especially the game crash bug. i play everyday, and the server crashes no matter what server i'm on, or what team i'm on, due to the game crash bug :redhotevil: anyways, so far this is a good program, but the bugs get to u after a while, especially the game crash bug. if these bugs could be fixed in the next version, this would probably be the best mod for gtavc ever. :wink:

MTA 0.5 is a beta product. Not only that, but the MTA team has switched their primary focus to MTA: San Andreas. I don't know whether there will be an updated version on the new core for Vice City, but it's possible.

The anti-cheat is easily bypassed, which is why you see a lot of hackers and such.

The synchronization could be better, but this is an scm based mod (scm is GTA's mission code), and it's not ideal at all for a multiplayer mod.

When cars explode on your screen, they sometimes don't on others (the other player may be paused) and sometimes they just get into an invisible car and drive away, yes. A byproduct of sync. In fact, probably the majority of the crashes is caused by being out of sync. Pausing accelerates this; if you pause a lot, it screws up sync and the best thing to do would be to restart.

I've been coding an unofficial update for MTA:VC; thread here. Not done yet, but close. We'll see how everything turns out.
