mta sa crashing

I keep on getting some kind of error message when i play mta for a little bit. The error message was something like 'memory could not be read x8090021' or something like that. i d have mods installed, but that shouldnt be the problem.

sys spec

Asus a8n-vm mobo

ati x550 gfx card

amd athlon 3000+ 1.8ghz

EDIT: Now it just quits all of the sudden and says sending error report. i know mods aint the problem since a friend has most of his gta modded and he never crashes

If you have mods, that is the problem.
