Guest
hy. we tried a lot to play mta vice city, but till now we couldn't play. i've bought gta:vice city ORIGINAL as a dvd 2 weeks ago. we installed mta 0.5 but when we wanted to connect to a server, some different failure warnings get displayed. for example: "failure detecting version of gta-vc.exe" or "are you sure, you have the right executable?" YES, I HAVE!!! i searched and googled, and searched and googled. i put the gxt-files in the vc /mta/ directory (except the american.gxt) but the same problem. i tried to patch my gta vc, but also the _original_ patcher to version 1.1 cannot identify the version of my gta-vc.exe and abort the update. so what can i do know? i also read their are some problems with australian and german gta-vs.exe so, when somebody would send me his _original_ gta-vc.exe (only if your file makes no problems with mta 0.5) i could test it. in hope, of somebodys help... Guest
hy! thanks a lot! i put the exe-file in my vc directory. now i start mta 0.5 and i can connect to the servers. when i click on "start game" gta vc starts loading, and i can enter the main menu. then start playing multi theft auto and the map beginns to load. there is a load bar at the bottom of my screen, and always when there's only a little bit to load the game freezes and in the mta "log" stands "Connecting... Connected. Server Map: Vice City Deathmatch Disconnected: Suspected trainer usage. (Delay = 10 sec)" so what should i do? i have no trainer, and i've never installed one. so how can i fix this fucking problem? i'm tired of testing and testing.. Link to comment
Jani
Make sure you have nothing else open like MSN etc when you play. The anticheat uses a really shoddy detection method and any program in local memory with one of the blacklisted keywords can trigger it. Link to comment
