OK, so I need the actual version of GTA:SA to play MTA and San Andreas: Multiplayer? Cause I was going to go out and buy that today, sorry for the noob question.

You can buy any version and then just downgrade it with a patch

sa-mp is mostly DM now - aka running around shooting etc

MTA:race is .. well .. race mostly with a bit of vehicle dm etcetc

MTA is also making a DM but its not finished yet - read the blog for more info

Different teams, different coding, different mods.. But samp has a deathmatch mode released already and MTA does not, but the team is working on it. Visit the blog for more info about the MTA progress

mta is much better because a much better programmers

so i would say say that that is the difference

MTA ftw The team does great work . And yes , you buy the game u want to play online , but there are some games , i believe, were u need to purchase the online version. Wich im not sure off.
