Server Hosting Issues

This IS my first time hosting a MTA server.

I'm NOT a networking newb and i know what to do when it comes to routers and routing, but, my MTA server is not allowing anyone to connect under any circumstances (only me, through my loopback IP).

The ports: 22003, 22126 and 44003 have been forwarded to the servers internal IP on the UDP protocol, but it's still failing to display in the list or allow users to direct connect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might be worth a shot at forwarding the same TCP ports too. I'm not sure which protocol MTA operates under, maybe one of the devs could clarify it.

All the ports are on both protocols now and ASE has been activated. Still no luck.

(The config file was from CoZ's server with a little tweaking for my needs and his works no problem.)

Not firewalled at all are you? If the server is running on Windows, make sure the Windows firewall is off.

Windows firewall is off and server.exe is allowed past ZoneAlarm firewall in and out and acting as a server.

I have tried disabliling the Firewall but i don't think that's causing it.

I guarantee it's Zonealarm which is still causing the trouble. No matter how much you configure it, it still doesn't let stuff through. Try disabling it all together (don't worry about hackers, a router is the best firewall money can buy) and then seeing if people can connect. If they can, then you've troubleshooted the problem.

Thanks, i got it working.

If you wish to test it out, or make sure the server is working as it should, join [uK][CoZ]I'm gonna survive or die trying. [Merovingian].

Once again, thanks for the assistance.
