I think they should be more concerned about making MTA compaitable with Linux or something like that, because if you buy a new computer you cant play MTA because all new computers have Vista pre installed. If you made it linux compaitable then you could have vista users just daul boot with linux then it would be playable for all

I noticed this post is old and I would't wish to create multiple topics of the same meaning but....

My opinion is that Vista is new and I understand that programmers are not really concentrating on making things capable on Vista YET because it is a new release. My understanding is that MTA:SA can be programmed to work on Vista and as MTA:DM is capable of being played on Vista (I have tried the current release on Vista) I think MTA:SA Race should also be (if it hasn't been attempted to work on Vista). Many people don't seem to like playing on MTA:DM (I like both DM and Race and i'm not saying MTA:DM is bad at all) but MANY people prefer the MTA:SA Race to work on Vista instead. I would prefer playing MTA:SA Race as I am not much of a DM'ist myself and I wouldn't consider dual booting because I don't really want to dual boot JUST to play MTA:SA on because it doesn't seem necessary.

I respect the fact that MTA:DM is now capable on Vista, but now what about the people who don't really prefer MTA:DM over MTA:Race? They will start to give up as many would prefer Vista over XP and some may not know how to dual boot or may not WANT to.

Also, new PC's are released with Vista pre-installed and people who upgrade their machine and purchase a new one will not WANT to dual boot for the sake of MTA:SA (meaning partially downgrading to XP) and slowly MTA may lose players, (thats what my opinion is anyway  ).

I think they should be more concerned about making MTA compaitable with Linux or something like that, because if you buy a new computer you cant play MTA because all new computers have Vista pre installed. You also have to consider that not many people use Linux. The majority of the MTA population do not use Linux. They use the common, Vista and XP interfaces. :D
