Guest Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Hi guys, havent been on this scene since the good old MTAVC and MTA days. Had the urge to play SA in multiplayer. Project looks great and i like what you have all done with the site. Well i need some help setting up MTASA in LAN between 2 computers in wireless ad-hoc workgroup network. Preferably without using the internet like all the guides i have come across. Any help? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Guest Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 That guide if for use over internet. I wanted details on connecting using LAN like details on port numbers? I have followed the guide and run the client version to try to connect to the server but it does not find it?
Jani Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Connecting to a server over LAN is the same as over the Internet except you should use local addresses instead...the ports will remain as whatever you set them to be.
Guest Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 It works great now! Turns out my firewall was still blocking traffic even though i had shut it down! Stupid thing! Cool now i have 2 versions of multiplayer 1 for death match and another for racing! I gotta say that blue is amazing never thought it could be this good. I left the scene when blue was first revealed but the guys kept on putting so much work into it but did not release anything. But now im guessing its time to return again!
