Guest Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 hi! i tried to set up a lan server with clan rpg 3.1.(VICE CITY) i spent two hours working up being able to: create a server with "mtaserverconfigtool.exe", then i was able to use the rpg.mrc by starting the mta.mrc with mirc. i connected my server as admin data and password and ports, then connected to it as admin via "mtaserveradmin.exe". i connected my own server with vice city through the client.exe .. i was able to slap/kick myself with the mirc-thingy( connection established!)... i was not able to use any !command through the "admin-tool",...... help is needed now at somehow getting the commands working... what id LOVE to have is: being able to play the single-player in LAN with my friend, co-op style. or at least seeing any NPC-entities so we could fight the cops or rob a bank...... i dont care if just one player is able to do the missions, and the other is like an friendly, armed bystande(played by a human).. it would be godlike if the second(non-hero) player was able to collect his own money and weapons(still everything in the normal, "single-player" world.. Like having the normal singleplayer map (all parts of the map access-able or via story-line), at least ne player(admin?) able to go on single-player missions, and other player(s) able to help him acomplish them. its not necessary for them to go too on the mission(like being a body-guard for the main hero/player). if anyone has any ideas, i'd appreciate the help, thanks in advance for your ideas/help, cu Vogerl
Jani Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 i was not able to use any !command through the "admin-tool" You generally can't do script commands through remote admin. Why would you want to anyway? what id LOVE to have is:being able to play the single-player in LAN with my friend, co-op style. or at least seeing any NPC-entities so we could fight the cops or rob a bank...... Never going to happen in this version, and probably not any versions in the near future.
Guest Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 hi. i just want to use ANY command... exactly where and how do i type them in? *yeah i know, noobish* cu vogl
Guest Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 hi. first: thanks for the help. how to open the ingame chat? (dont shoot me!) cu vogel
Jani Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Run MTAClient.exe and connect to a server. Tadaa, you can see the chat! You can also see it in game in the top left corner, press T to type in there and then Enter to send your message..
