Jani Posted June 15, 2006 Share Posted June 15, 2006 Nobody can connect to your LAN IP if they aren't on your LAN. Changing the IP address in the config has no use unless you have virtual adapters and more than one IP address assigned to your machine, which I HIGHLY DOUBT considering the content of your last two posts. Just give people your Internet IP address instead and make sure you forward the ports, then they can connect. Also it's likely that you won't be able to connect to an internal server by using your external IP address since most routers won't allow it. 192.168.1.12 or whatever will work for you since you're on the LAN, but it will be useless to everyone else who isn't. For example, my LAN address could be the same as yours, so how would you expect me to be able to connect to your server with it? Link to comment
