Georgije
when i try to start MTA:SA i first get the loading picture, but then an error window opens saying: gta_sa.exe - Application ErrorThe instruction at "0x83cb2885" referenced memory at "0x83cb2885". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program has anybody got any idea what's wrong? EDIT: GTA:SA works normally and the error is still there if i reinstall MTA. MTA worked well until now. Link to comment

Jani
"Thinking" that you have 1.0 is not good enough. You need to be sure that it is definately 1.0 Link to comment
Georgije
how do i make sure of that? and it's certainly a compatible version because it worked nicely since MTA:SA came out until today Link to comment
Jani
Oh, so it has worked with MTASA before? In that case uninstall MTA and GTA, then reinstall GTA and then MTA. Make sure you don't modify any files when you install, MTA will not work with anything modified. Link to comment
Georgije
will i keep my gta saved games then? Link to comment
Jani
Yes. Your save games are stored in a subdirectory in your My Documents folder, and they aren't touched by the uninstall. If you'd still like to back them up anyway, you can find them here: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files GTASAsf1.b, GTASAsf2.b etc are the save files.
