Problem with connecting to any server

_Morsfin_

Question

Hello,

I am having issues with MTA specifically with connecting to servers. When I connect to any server I can play like for a minute and then it says "Connection Lost" and I've got an error CD 16 or 09. I've tried every solutions from this page

but it didn't help. That's why I'm writing this because game worked pretty well 2 months ago and I have been playing MTA for 3 years.

One thing kinda helped me with changing DNS from google to cloudfire but it didn't work long. I want to add that I changed router above month ago. Maybe it's a main problem. here's mtadiag results https://pastebin.mtasa.com/999999729

Hope you will help me as soon as it's possible

Hey. You could try the netfix solution that was posted in MTA discord: https://discord.com/channels/278474088903606273/278521065435824128/599929249868283908 (It contains a file that helps with things like "connection timed out/lost" and CD16 error)

I'm going to quote what was said on discord if you can't join it:

If you're structurally getting "connection timed out/lost", network trouble, download failures, errors like CD16, or other issues that point to networking problems (such as server list not showing any servers), then please try the solutions mentioned in this post and eventually the ones below it before asking for help: - Download netfix.bat (file in this post) and right click it > "Run as Administrator". After it finishes, restart your PC and try again. Make sure to run it as instructed (see picture below) or it won't work. https://i.imgur.com/rp6yCj0.png

If this doesn't work, and it happens on a lot or all servers, do realize you're trying to fix a network issue on your PC (or router) that can have a variety of causes.. some underlying causes are simply not served by this method. The list of potential causes is too big, but you can continue with stuff like checking your firewall, security products etc.. make sure gta_sa.exe and Multi Theft Auto.exe are allowed & whitelisted (both incoming and outgoing traffic) and that your router has no strict internal firewall toggled on.

It would be too complicated to continue on about that last thing in here, but basically: search your router model on Google, on how to log into the configuration page of that specific router.. (usually the DHCP/standard gateway address - you can get it with command prompt > ipconfig /all and go to that IP address in your web browser, e.g chrome), login to your router using the default or unique password (source: also Google for that router model, or the sticker on your router's back.. lift it up physically) and find the firewall level settings to lower or disable it. For more background on getting into your router configuration page, selectively read this topic: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/topic/115141-guide-port-forwarding-in-order-to-run-a-mta-server/ (don't care about the forwarding parts, but only about router login chapter). In the end of trying a lot of things to troubleshoot your network, it is most likely an ISP (internet provider) issue with blocking/dropping game traffic packets, contact your internet provider and report it.

If it happens on 1 server only, then it's likely either on the server's side or a problem between the routing from your ISP/country to that server.. if you know what you're doing, you can open cmd.exe (commandprompt) and type tracert [IP of server that gives you the error]. Either way, you can still try netfix.bat and other troubleshooting in any case, but better report the problem to that server's owner as well.

Alternatively, you can download it from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8kyfbievryrmyz1/netfix.bat?dl=1

Now I am getting only CD 09 error, but I've found a fix for a while like when I am changing my DNS for instance from google 8.8.8.8 to cloudfire 1.1.1.1 etc. it works only as long as my computer is working without shutting it down. Do you know how to fix this? I have an access to my router so I can change some options in it, because in other internet like my phone it's working without any problem, but when I'm using my new router it's not working properly.
