Guest
When opening ports to host a server, which ip should be used? We got 2 computers. Our main computer, the one with router and direct internet connection (192.168.0.1), and mine, that i want to host from (192.168.0.2). So when i open the ports on our Netgear, where you have to type in a ip, do i type the main ip, or my ip i host from? For example: Name: MTASA1 Starting port: 22003 Ending port: 22003 IP adress: 192.168.0.x???? Im used to open ports in 192.168.0.3 from other games, but this apparently aint the case here (since none can join me, just getting "Timed Out" message) 192.168.0.3 is normally the server that gets created when you host. But the REAL reason i actually ask here, is because during R1 i had a good server with many people. Im not sure, but i believe i opened the ports on ip 192.168.0.3. Also think the server ip was 192.168.0.3, but now its 0.2, but opening ports on 0.2 dosnt work??? wtf? Very confusing... Im sure this has been asked many times, i even looked. Didnt seem to find anything exactly about this though. Please help! Link to comment

Jani
It's always the IP of the host that you need to forward, because that is the one which the clients need to be able to initiate direct connection to. Link to comment
