MatthewMc
I ran into some trouble the last few days and had to reinstall windows (not really part of the topic but it explains why i had the problem i came across). I had a server up and running with no problems prior to my windows problems but after the reinstall of windows (windows xp pro sp2) i could not get a server up to save my life. I tried everything i could think of, maybe it was my network card.....nope, could it be my router settings.....naaa maybe my fish has something to do with it....(ok it was late but i ran out of ideas) where am i going with this? good question but i asked myself one last queston (not out loud of course) What Did I Do Diffrent This Time???? hummm........2 hours and a bag of popcorn later. I remembered that i have selected a diffrent path than the default (C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas) path, mine was set-up as C:\MTA San Andreas. well, i reinstalled MTA:SA with the updated server to the default path and wul la i have server cooperation. am i crazy or could this be true, i am sure that i am the only one that came across this so i am leaning towards crazy... Si|ent
My SA is in D:\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\ and the server is in I:\mta server\ and both work perfectly, (apart from the whole initial mta client registry entries being overwritten on install of server thing ), so I doubt that was your issue.
