Guest Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 hey I have started a server but i can't be admin on it Is there somebody there can help me with it?
Brophy Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 search other threads and the config file, its pretty straight forward, its been explained numerous times
mp17 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Do you wanna be admin in game or in the remote server? for being admin in the game or in the console you have to edit the cofig file in your ...\MTA San Andreas\server directory.
Guest Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I want to be admin in the remote server but i don't know what to whrite in the mtaserver.conf?
mp17 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 oh sry, its this directory: C:\Programme\MTA San Andreas\server\mods\race and there is the config file, you have to edit, but as the other said, search other threats.
Fitzy9994 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 if your british of course the directory would be C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas\server\mods\race

Guest Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 if i whrite this in the config file... the server says there is an error in admin-level # Admin # Required: No # Purpose: Defines all the people in-server who can rcon_login to admin # Format - Admin # Notes: # admin-level must not go above 5 # Names and passwords are case sensitive #Admin Default password 2 Admin <*******> <5>
Brophy Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 yo done need the < > thats why it should be Admin nicode password 5
Brophy Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 you use the normal admin password for remote admin, the password you set for the rcon is for ingame admin
Jani Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 if i whrite this in the config file... the server says there is an error in admin-level# Admin # Required: No # Purpose: Defines all the people in-server who can rcon_login to admin # Format - Admin # Notes: # admin-level must not go above 5 # Names and passwords are case sensitive #Admin Default password 2 Admin <*******> <5> LOL it gives you an example and you can't even read that Anyway, remote admin is different to rcon. You need to edit the remote admin settings for that, and it also doesn't require a username like rcon does.
mp17 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Its easy: evrything is explaned in the config file. you´ve just to read it!
