Guest Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 I downloaded MTA the day it came out and it ran fine, no problems. Couple days later, it stopped showing the names of any servers. It listed all the servers, but they were all "unscanned" and I couldn't connect to any of them. So I uninstalled both GTA and MTA and reinstalled. Worked great. Now today, the same problem. I've uninstalled both programs and deleted all associated files. Reinstalled, and still I'm having the same problem. I don't understand because it was working just fine then all of sudden, it quit. I'm running v1.0. Like I've said, it worked just fine, then it just quit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
><CHAIN>< Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Hi, is your antivirus program up to date and PC clean? Can you confirm your PC is spyware free? It sounds as though something is either 'self updating' or 'learning about your PC's behaviour then ruining it for you. Search for "Spybot Search and Destroy" and "Ad-Aware" to scan and remove installed spyware but more importantly antivirus.
Si|ent Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Chain please don't ask misleading questions, it is highly unlikely the problem he is suffering is anythign whatsoever to do with a virus or spyware. starwrist: have you installed the MTA server after installing the client? (from a seperate download)
Guest Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 My computer is 100% clean. And no, I'm not running MTA:Server. Only Client. Like I said it was running just fine then nothing.

Guest Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 ive been having the same problem. i havent been able to conect at all. every time i try it times out. all the servers load in the browser but no names or players...

Si|ent Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 You aren't really answering my question. I'm not sure why you don't understand what I mean. Never mind. ASE is experiencing problems, thats why the servers remain unscanned at the moment.
Guest Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 If your asking if I've installed the server (setup_r1_03), then no, I haven't installed it at all. But if your asking if I've installed the server option through the checklist in mtasa_r1, then yes, I installed it while installing everything else. But if ASE is down, then there's nothing wrong on my end. However, that sucks that we can't play.
