catfacem3n Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Why are there more maps on the center.mtasa.com website than there are on my server if I have the rss map downloader running in addition to having an rss feed that contains the search criteria for any map?
eAi Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 You're right, that should work. What is the url you have specified in the config.xml file? I've just noticed that if you set downloadsperupdatemax to 0, it will not download any maps. If you have this set, try setting it to a high value if you always want every map downloaded (like 999 for example). Update: I've just reproduced this myself, I'm going to look into why it happens in a couple of hours.
eAi Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Well, this appears to be an issue with the xml parser giving up due to the fact that some maps (like http://center.mtasa.com/?p=race&r=538) contain strange characters in them. We'll look into resolving this asap.

eAi Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 We can probably resolve this issue from the site, by changing the rss feed's character set or removing the invalid characters. We should be able to resolve this within 24 hours.

Leviathan Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 if you follow MatthewMc his rss link you will get a page without maps, and the one of catfacem3n gives a lot of maps, so maybe the url is just wrong like catfacem3n said
eAi Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 The screenshot of his error is clearly not from version 1.1 - it doesn't say it is. That error only happens in version 1.0.
MatthewMc Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Thankyou eAi, that clearly solved the problem, and as i took a closer look as to why i had the v1.0 rss downloader i soon discovered that dummy here somehow redownloaded the server v1.0 again instead of the updated v1.03. thankyou for the help all.
catfacem3n Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 catfacem3n: Not sure what you're talking about. I meant that his feed, when I view it in IE, has only the four sets of windows, unlike mine which has the four sets of windows along with many entries below for each map it finds.
