De3emon Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Howcome a and d move the camera left and right instead of strafing? It owuld be sooo much easier if it made u strafe and not make you turn which is what the mouse is for.
erorr404 Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I thought the same thing when I first tried it, but now I am totally used to it. It just takes some time.
orappa Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 It would be more intuitive if the camera was set to strafe though.

De3emon Posted January 27, 2006 Author Posted January 27, 2006 oakie dokie i just hope they have that no the next version, its not fun to look away and back up and look away and move forwards all the time
MatthewMc Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 if anyone is familar with the N.I.L.E editor (for Joint Operations Map Making) that editor would be a great editor to model off of.
darkdreamingdan Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 During beta tests it also seemed odd. We did ask the MTA team to change it, but it seems it was too difficult to do. They did have multiple attempts without success and this is probably the best it'll get

They may not have had enough time before, or they may choose to come up with a different solution to the problem.
Bumnut Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I make the assumption that anything that seems obvious, but isn't included, such as map editor strafing, showing checkpoints in spectator mode, or credit for kills in dogfights was impractical for some reason, so was left out. They were under a lot of pressure to release, remember.
