Hux Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I just tried to make a server for only 3 maps so removed all the others and when I join the first map Destruction Derby i just get the car flying in the sky and it stands there so tried other maps which actually worked but looks like im not registered as a live player since when i drive trhough the checkpoints nothing happensl and usually kick me after 30 sec or so. Port used is the default one for server. Windows firewall is letting the server through as is my router. Right now I see people playing on it but when I try to join its all stationary for me.

orappa Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Do you have either Windows XP, 2000 or Win Server 2003? The old core used to do that if you tried to run it on Windows 9x.
lmn8r Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 your probably behind a router, and this is because of NAT (network address translation) if you just go to serverlist and click your server (showing your external IP) it will do that. you have to go to quick connect, type in like 127.0.0.1 or localhost or your internal IP (usually something like 192.168.1.2) and it will play fine!
