Hosting a game

I know its a simple problem but i dont have a clue how to invite someone to my private server. I mean i host a game, a server starts and what know? I've tried to send my friend an IP addres but it didnt work, he cant find that server by searching by its name either. Do you know how to do that?

It tells me that each port is closed. I mean first i just clicked submit, second time i changed the port and http port number but it didnt change anything ( Ive got those numbers from the list which is showed when i click F8 while im on my server)

The ports need to be opened in your router
