Instead there's is a Cartel Cruiser... In Staunton, there is teh Yakuza Stinger, yet no Yardie Lobo nor Cartel Cruiser... In Shoreside, why couldn't we choose the actual gang member models instead of the ones we got now (Kenji, Miguel and 8-Ball, the cops are fine IMO). Just the little things that get me wonderin'. As for my random question, why is it that when you leave the game, and come back in, the cars don't stay where they were, instead their back to the default spawn points? Thnxies. Link to comment

I don't think the mta devs were really thinking about placing cars to parralel the single player experience, rather they just chose which cars they felt were best In Staunton, there is teh Yakuza Stinger, yet no Yardie Lobo nor Cartel Cruiser... yardie car would be nice, dunno if the hydrolics would sync though, it would probably just look lie the car was twitching In Shoreside, why couldn't we choose the actual gang member models instead of the ones we got now (Kenji, Miguel and 8-Ball, the cops are fine IMO). It was explained way back that the characters they chose had to be among the characters that moved around in the ingame cutscenes in order for it to work. Just the little things that get me wonderin'. Vehicles were (are) only synchronised when a player is inside them, that's why when a player bails out the car that rolled down the road in his point of view stopped dead in everyone elses (because he left it so sync stopped). So obviously the server doesnt record where empty vehicles are and the scm (GTA's scripting file) re-parks them when you start a fresh game. This also leads to your car being 'snatched' sometimes as you go to enter it where it was abandoned at the same time that a new player (or a player that saw it destroyed and respawned) enters it at its original spawn area. Often one will be transported across the map when this happens. There are several compromises in the present core (and in the new core also I'm sure) in my opinion these all add to the character of the mod and stand as a constant reminder of just how miraculous it is that the many many other things DO work. Actually that is VC as you cannot bail in a moving car in GTA:3 but it is the same principal. I really don't mind the car postition reseting as it makes sure the map doesnt just get into a mess with car's les randomly spread over the map as everone has taken them from thier original spawn. But otherwise, I'd like it to have all cars the same location for everyone. That's just me and my weird (yet sexy) mind. Link to comment
