Random Error Message, Not letting me play

ok basically ive followed everything, when i join a server, my game opens up, everything works perfectly.

but once i click on "start multi theft auto" it loads for a bit, opens the online game and shows a quick message of what someone typed in the top left of the screen, but the whole screen is black apart from that.

then it freezes and this error pops up:

After i click 'ok' my game shuts down, and it sometimes DC's me from the MTA server also. Can anyone tell me what this means and how i can fix this?

Could Be one of three things:

1) Try reinstalling MTA

2) If that doesnt work try changing your Version in Options in MTA Client

3) If none of that works reinstall GTA VC

- Play the game first in single player also before you install MTA.

Are you using Windows 2000 or XP? That theme looks like Windows 98.
