Guest
Hi everyone. I just got GTA VC and the server stuff. I have a couple of questions... I tried to look/search, but I couldnt find much... so my questions are... 1) How do I figure out what my Game IP Address is, so I can give the IP to my friends, so they can join. 2) Can I use a controller on GTA VC? (This might not be the best place to ask this..) 3) I edited my motd, I put it on my own webhost and linked it to that, but when I connect to my server, it still says "Please change your Rich MOTD in your mtaserver.conf file." 4) Is there a way to talk in the game? Like press Enter, then a box comes up and you can type? 5) Can you add in civilians? Because its kind of boring... or some cars.. or something? Thats pretty much it for now.. Thanks in advance! zerb
I dont know alot about the server side of MTA but http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=11098 might have something to help out with any other problems which might occur. Also make sure the server patch is installed. T is to speak in game. Just press T on your keyboard and enter the message and then click enter to send. Some controllers do work for MTAVC but the autoaim or lockon feature dosnt work. most people find it also easier to play with mouse and keyboard. Link to comment
Gamefreek
You can use http://www.whatismyip.com to find out your ip. They havent added peds because of the lag it would cause. They would be just like other people ingame, causing more lag then there already is. Link to comment
Guest
I tried my own IP, didnt work... I am sure my port is 2003, it says in the server thingy.. Link to comment
Gamefreek
You tried to connect to your own server? You need to use 127.0.0.1 if you want to do that. Also make sure that you have started a server and the correct ports have been forwarded before your friends try and join. Link to comment
