AN MTA 5.0 LAN problem?

Hi guys,

I am trying to get MTA working on a LAN. This is WITHOUT!!! an internet connection and frankly it is not working.

If i am not conneced to the internet it keep saying that MTA has encountered a problem and needs to close...etc (usual windows crash notice). I have turned off trying to update the welcome message which helped once but now it is not working again. I got it working once on one PC. But it is really infuriating. I downloaded the 1.1 patch but in both cas the download was corrupt. GRRRR!!!

can any body tell me how to play it on a LAN without an internat connection? thanks

Uhm hey...try to add this line to ur mta.text in ur multi theft auto folder under the [Main]:

DontGetLatest=1

[Guest]

Oh...so find ur Multi Theft Auto folder...then open the mta.text (not the mta-client logs),there u have [Main] and under that nick, and other info.

Type this under the [Main]:

DontGetLatest=1 ,paste that to it,then save it and give it a try
