Help plz, got big problem

I've got VC and have recently downloaded the 0.5 installer, i have installed it correctly but when i click on the MTA icon on my desktop it says Mtaclient has caused an error in MTACLIENT.EXE. Mtaclient will now close.

Any suggestions on what i can do to solve the problem?
