I have the same problem aswell and i am new, Does it say Connection Timed Out, every time you try to connect

Just like what njr1489 said, Try and explain the full problem in as much detail as possible or look up in the help area at the known issues thread, you could find what solves your problem there.

the message "problem trying to connect" means that you either typed the address in wrong, the target ip isnt running the server properly, or the ports are blocked on either end. Does this happen to all servers?

This happens to me when i close my router/internet.... but he probably has his internet open.
