    you guys are great

I gotta super bump this.... I also wanted to thank the MTA team for such a good job you have done so far. I still play your GTA3:MTA and I started playing MTA:VC more. I used to play San Andreas Race mod, but I dont have the disk right now (gimme it back phil!). Thanks alot guys!
  4. Since people ask me, and I wounder myself, I thought I should make a topic that can tell people about the ties between Rockstar Games and GTA. So here's how it goes. Take 2 Interactive owns Rockstar Games. Rockstar Games is split up into different studios, the most well known studio is Rockstar North. Here's alittle info on Rockstar North: DMA Design (first called "Direct Mind Access", later called "Doesn't Mean Anything") was bought by Gremlin Interactive. Then later it was completely bought by Rockstar Games, and DMA was renamed to Rockstar North. Here's alittle info on GTA: When the first GTA was made, it was developed by DMA design, and released under the BMG Interactive label. (those are the guys who published the first GTA). (BMG Interactive is what IGN games calls a "...publishing branch for Bertelsmann's German BMG multimedia publishing house.") GTA2 was made by DMA Design and Tarantula Studios (Tarantula Studios was later bought out by Rockstar Games and renamed to Rockstar Lincoln). Even though DMA was bought by Rockstar, the dev team probably consists of the same people. ... oh and thanks to Wiki and IGN for references... This post is open for corrections. So tell me anything that would help people understand R* a little better, or correct me if I am wrong, and give me a link to the data.
  5. Yeah, GTA has never really been about having "top of line" graphics, its always been about good gameplay... maybe soon GTA will have a technology revolution, and be up there with the big shot games like UT2007... good graphics and good game play... it might just happen....
  6. You should have 2 San Andreas folders then, one for MTA:SA and the other for modding...just dont get em mixed up. I used to have 2 copies of GTA3 and Vice City... The ones on my desktop were for modding, the ones in my program files where for MTA... this is back when I used make my own mods, and experiment with porting vehicles back and forth between GTA3 and VC...
  7. are you guys still trying to find out if Compact Disks can fit into your assholes? nvm mumasorie did you get it working or not?
  8. Yeah, did you try to allow MTA client and the San Andreas exe to access the internet?
  9. hey none of that please. this is starting to look spammy and pointless, has one heard from mumasorie on whether he got his MTA:SA working?
  10. yup
  11. So wait, huh? nvm that was confusing i dont think you can add letters to the blank signs...maybe in the DeathMatch editor....but thats not out yet..
  12. sure or maybe a new little section just for mapping tools
  13. This one's for you anyways, this is a good tutorial, i wounder what your tutorial will be like for the DeathMatch editor...

    Happy birthday...

woot here ya go, a cake that looks like poop
  15. oh yeah i forgot, thanks Jani ======================== lol
  16. Wait, do you have San Andreas installed?
  17. yeah like the other dudes said, you need San Andreas installed before you install MTA:SA... if you have installed San Andreas, but do not know where the file is, then try looking in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\San Andreas\ this is the common install path...
  18. He was just asking if it was unrealistic
  19. Thanks Jigga
  20. good idea
  21. just wounderin
  22. Once upon a time a guy joined MTA forums and spammed the heck out of it, then he got banned, its sad really. I wounder where Dr. Dammit goes now? SAMP forums? Nah he would have got banned from there too for saying anything bad about SAMP...
  23. i wounder if they are gonna do this... because it would really be cool for people like me who pay close attention to detail
  24. Have you installed the game San Andreas? Some people mistake MTA:SA as being the game too. Or, maybe you just dont know where the file is in your computer, if thats the case, then try looking in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\San Andreas\
