The problem is another program is attempting to change MTA. Close other programs to see if that helps. Also, it could be virus activity. Do you have an antivirus?

Try deleting the gta_sa.set file which is usually found somewhere like: C:\Users\\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\gta_sa.set

Ok, I've figured out what the issue is: 1) Race mode needs a map file to start with this: So, add at least one 'object' into a race map for checkpoint scale perfection.

The race gamemode scales checkpoints x 4 if it detects the map was not made in the editor or is a map made for the old MTA:Race mod. To avoid that, I think the first line of the map file should look like this: <map edf:definitions="editor_main">
