domVPS - Budget and high-end virtual servers!
Tsumetai replied to Cameron's topic in Hosting solutions
Legit question: Aren't VPS's a lot slower than gamehosting? -
How pathetic can frostwav get.

Why wouldn't this be possible? They do exist in real life, don't they? In fact, they're very real and common. Both gamemodes sucks. I enjoyed them in the beginning but not anymore, I grew tired off them. They exist, but that doesn't mean you can become one. Can you become Italian? Can you become American at the flick of a button? Romanian, Spanish, Brazilian? No, you can't. Can you join a Yakuza in real life, right here right now? No, you can't. Can you kill the, let's say, president in real life, got arrested for life then you just made yourself a new life, as a totally different 'character'? Before stating that something "sucks", try and at least use proper grammar. Also, give some, I don't know, facts that make you dislike the gamemodes?

That usually happens on the "big" servers like Root, or the servers owned by scammers such as Matthew Ello(aka MTA Roleplay).
-
And this is why almost all RP servers fail... Personally, I don't like RP at all btw, I mean, if you want to play like real life, why not just go outside? Okay, go outside and become an italian mafioso, or a high ranked police officer...or a fricking Russian mobster, but that's not how it works, is it? RP lets you be someone else for hours of fun.

Sorry, I had no care to actually read about Asphire. If it offers this service, but it's actually temporarily disabled, why is sockz even crying about it? I call him a spoiled brat because he's unable to use a simple FTP program, so he cancels his hosting plan(?) and takes away his recommendation. I call someone who can use the touchscreen keyboard flawlessly, but can barely use a computer keyboard a spoiled brat, same concept. Also, kindergarten logic? How is that? As you said, I also pulled a hasty decision to comment before reading, just like you did, so I'm sorry for that.

A RolePlay server focuses on people actually roleplaying, meaning acting out a character and describing what they do using actions/emotes, these being shown through the /me command. An RPG is something TOTALLY different in the world of MTA. While you still act out something, it's maybe just a role. You don't take care to keep everything realistic, and you just do what-ever the hell you want really. The nametags that are visible above someone's head, in a roleplay gamemode you wouldn't be able to just know someone's name by their nametags, as roleplay gamemodes are there to mimic real life. In an RPG gamemode, you can freely call someone by their nametag. The discrepancies are a lot, and they are big, but I won't explain all of them. I prefer RolePlay, as you can actually do a lot of things without having to rely on the script, unlike RPG. I also enjoy games that mimic Real Life. Sadly, most RP server owners are 15-25 yr olds who can barely type in English. Sure, some of them are good at English, but most of them are powerhungry, so they will just make another server instead of being swallowed by other servers in order for those servers to live. For example, server A has 12 players, server B has 3. Server B will die out soon. Instead of making everyone go to server A in order for server B to survive, server B changes its name and makes another MTASA forum post, and finally gives up after 5-10 tries. Server A now has 5 players. With the server B players, server A might have survived, but that's just an example of how people care more about their admin rank than about fun.

Sockz, files shouldn't be editable from the UCP. You usually have to get a program such as filezilla for the server scripts and such. The services from Asphire seem good enough, you're just too much of a spoiled brat. Go pay $30+ per month for files directly editable from the UCP, kiddo.

Hosting your MTA Server! Windows or Linux, your choice.

So...15 euro for 128 slots from a shady host, seems legit. -
Do you have skype or something? I can help you set it up.

Nah, don't delete my post. People need to know about twingold 'hacking' other servers. Strange how Root went offline soon after this guy said that he's gonna' hack it. Twingold Roleplay: (( hacking root )) Twingold Roleplay: (( brb )) Twingold Roleplay: (( ))

My computer was a gift from my uncle 3 years ago, but it got a bit old. I'll buy a new one on next easter, but until then I need to replace that hard drive. I had problems with the hard drive in the past too, so yeah. Would a HDD Seagate 1TB, 7200RPM, 64MB, SATA 3, ST1000DM003 worK? Also, I wish to mention, that on some games I lag with low settings, but with maximum settings they run at full FPS, is that normal?

GalaxyHost - $0.15 Per Slot - Best QUALITY!

The promo code isn't working. -
Try and see if GTASA can run. If it doesn't run, delete gta_sa.set from Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files. Also, did you install any mods?

Open Beta vrei tu sa zici, nu "beta closed".

Dear MTASA Community, I, Tsumetai, have been playing MTA for a couple of years now. Since update 1.0.5 and up, lag started increasing each version. I understand that a new version means TONS of new features, but as long as I can run Skyrim without any FPS lag on medium, I don't believe that GTASA on LOW settings should give me FPS lag, that's just stupid. I believe that hard disk fragmentation is an issue, as well as probably some sort of virus, but it might also be an MTA problem. Hell, you guys might know the solution, so why not ask. I play MTA in window mode. I usually get 40 FPS, I have windows 7. The FPS is nice for some time, but it's REALLY unstable. Once it's 20 FPS, once it's 60. My cousin gets stable 40, and my PC has two times his specs. Also, I get random runtime errors when I alt tab, even though I'm using window mode. MTADIAG log: http://pastebin.com/TwYWxdQ8

MTA can you make an update for not needing gta san disc?
Tsumetai replied to rokas2000's topic in Suggestions
As robhol said, we can't help you find cracks. Just google for one, you'll find it yourself. -
Do you have ANY idea how you fixed it? And for all of those 'smart' people blaming the GPU, it's due to the latest video driver. I bet it's ATI, as I had the same problem with my ATI card. I found NO solution except reverting my Video Driver though, which is an update from 2 years ago. My games run slower now, obviously due to the outdated graphics driver, so I'd like to know the fix for this, please.

Why 1.4 when we're on 1.3?
-
This is one of the worst problems of MTA and it wasn't fixed yet? Our server was 5 days from launching but this damn problem came in. The server sends packets too fast and the packet loss gets higher and higher every hour, if it's a problem only in our server then can a MTA developer PLEASE come to it and try to fix it? We have this problem for one year, there are over 40 tickets on the mantis about it and yet no one cares, at all. We spend money, time and hours of our lives scripting and bugtesting the server to find out that this problem wasn't fixed in twenty nightlies? This problem has been reported for months, why is NO ONE doing anything about it?
-
Bump, can't anyone fix the problem in the above post? I mean, there's 7 MTA developers and that's a really big issue.
-
As the title says, where can I report someone on the forums, as in not report one of his posts, but report him to an administrator regarding more serious and sensitive issues than the dude's posts. Do I have to directly PM an administrator or is there any place for this report to be sent to?

You didn't set the server config properly, make sure you include your hamachi IP in the IP field that lies within the config file.
