OwlGaming has been around for a while now. Saying there's nothing worth mentioning is the same as saying OwlGaming is not an RP server. I'm disappointed people think that way, because we try to satisfy our relatively large playerbase (for an RP server on MTA, nowadays, it's pretty decent) every day. Are you sure this will also edit the sound, and not just the performance of the car?

Is it possible to somehow change the engine sound (just the "vroom vroom" ) to another sound? To be more exact, having a car make the sound an electric car would. I've seen some topics about this, but they were rather old and maybe not up to date with the latest updates of MTA. Thanks in advance.

1: Annoying, lazy, impolite admins/staff annoys players and will make them leave. It's the job of the server owner to decide who his staff will be. If he takes the bad ones, he ruins his own server. 2: If you choose to copy/edit existing scripts from other server, be honest about it and give credits to the owners (which is the thing you could AT LEAST do. The best is not to copy them). And if you copy them, make sure you offer something different. 3: Who reads these forums? Only "more experienced/older" players of MTA. I have never seen a normal MTA player come here and say "Hey, lets look for a new server", no. This never happens. So posting in here is actually saying "Hey other server owners/players-who-play-a-server-for-ever, come to my server". This doesn't work either. I've never seen any forum linking to this forum. How are new people supposed to know about this? Now you can say "Well next to download it says 'Forum'". Well again, no. People don't even think about reading all this trash. So technically, any server offering any gamemode, new kind of service, whatever they do, are doomed to die unless they know players. The only way to get players, is to know many people. It's not via this forum that you'll get players. The only thing they do here is saying "Good" "Nice" or "vG copy!!!!!" After reading this, do not think I support the guys who fake vG and then get a lot of players. I never will support these persons. The only thing I have said here is that the reason servers fail isn't because of being a vG copy. Actually ANY server fails if the owner/staff doesn't have enough friends who would play. It doesn't matter if it's RP, RPG, DM, DD, freeroam, ... And that is why players of 14, 15 years old mostly start up server who will fail.

Lets just hope it will be in some later update of MTA.

Can't you just leave each other alone? You know, you can only call a project successfull, once it reached a certain point. This includes playercount, server and foru management, etc etc... But also maturity. If you all just keep out of each others project, maybe the trouble will go away. There is so much I'd like to say/could say, and I would have done it some months ago, but experience learned me not to do that. It only leads to more trouble and ruins the fun for you and your community, it also breaks down the reputation you've build up up to now. Just stop it, and mind that both community owners have made a certain money input in their community. It would be sad to see that that's waisted on a game...

some comment: - vG is very similar to something that exists. - What server will it be? RP or RPG? - What kind of people do you look for? Mappers, Scripters or staff?

As long as servers keep introducing new ideas and stuff, I don't care who runs it. But the problem is that those kids aren't as innovative as adults or more mature persons. Some people think that they have to fake because the community has ran out of ideas. That's wrong. There are plenty of things which could get a lot of attention of all the players. Take a look at some famous servers, most of them are innovating all the time or are known for one certain aspect: CIT: mixing up 3 gamemodes... SAUR: Pet scripts gave them a great start, now their Player Control Panel is more effecient... SAES: Opening a new RvB server, Doing a lot off competitions to show your skills... (I've only taken the RPG's because there are many raising too and that's the branch I know most off.) So a hint for all the peeps who would like to create a new server: Be innovative. If you are, no one will complain and you will probably get a higher player count.

Some servers are owned by kids... what do you expect? And a quite big amount of players are kids. They go with their friends, don't look for quality. There is no real solution for that problem. Unless you put some selection process to put a server online for MTA... What you could do is create a kind of community that gives points to the server. Like when some server faked/stole/used other servers scripts, they get a warning and if they don't change it the community put that info online. This idea just came out of my head now... If someone is courageous enough to create it, I would support this fully, just like any other honest server owner! Actually, the more I think about it, the more it seems nice, but hard to start! For those who might be interested, Sebbe (or Smart) is a great person. I saw his server and up to now, ... no comment on it. His ideas are great, in my opinion this server can be successful. It's not 'just' an RPG server, it'll provide so much more than that to the players. If I'd had the ability to become co-owner, I'd take it immediately. But unfortunatly , I'm not 18 yet and so both of my bank acc's are "under control" of my parents

Well as you can select items in the map editor, it would be nice to remove the item with the map editor. Just another button next to "copy object", like "remove object" Then you only remove that item and you can easily customize the whole map. Every server will be different then...

You can't remove items from the map via the Editor.... You can copy them by selecting the button next to the car button and then put that building somewhere else. But you can't remove them

Well Callum, I know just like anyone else that CIT, SAES, SAUR and SANL are (or were for SANL) the big ones in this kind of gaming. And I have a lot of respect towards these servers. But with that sentence I was talking about severs who copy others and call it their own work. Or other who call htemslves RPG while its something else. However, this is topic to look for scripters. (We'll take care of payment too)

Hi, I'm Rockypi and I've been asked to create a topic for a new RPG server. To be clear, I'm not the owner. I'm some kind of a helping hand. But I created this topic because the new server -which has no name at the moment- is still looking for some people to join the crew. We would still need some scripter(s), and some others useful persons. First of all, let me present the server: As you all know, a lot of RPG servers turn bad or are faking each other. What we want, is to create a totally new server. We will of course use some community scripts, but we also want to be unique in our own way. We aren't doing this for the money or the respect, but for the love in this game. It's more than just being able to command a bunch of players, it's the idea of creating something where every one enjoys playing. An RPG is for us the best way to express that. The server will not be looking like any server where you can play on at the moment, not only the organization will be different, but we hope also the scripts. But unfortunately, Tim (tim260) and I aren't scripters (Tim is already looking to expand his scripting to lua, but this takes time, and I haven't got enough time for that at the moment). So this is a message to scripters and mappers (we can map too, but some additional person can always be usefull) to apply for the job. We hope to find decent persons who aren't looking for new scripts. And please, keep in mind that we will check your name to see if you are indeed an experienced and reliable person. We understand that this service isn't free, but the payment might depend on who you are and how experienced you are. If you would like to offer your experience to this new server, please pm me as soon as possible. It would also be useful if you could send me some things you've done recently and what you expect of such kind of server.
