So you don't even know how to change codec. Lol, that explains everything. It's obvious why it has so low quality - the default codec is Microsoft Video 1 (I use Camstasia Codec and it's great)! Well, it's quite simple. See the "Output" section in the snagit window? Click it ==> "Properties" Uncheck "Auto Configure" Click "Video Setup". You can change the codec there. Also you can change the video FPS and related stuff.
