Don't do the semi beta based on people without lives (meaning, who are constantly on the communication channel or whatever (like SA-MP... the ones with no life get the chance, while peole who deliver great commentry, suggestions etc have no chance at all). Just point at some people and say: you guys are chosen, others aren't (I'd say, pick clans ... pick "small communities". They are the ones who can give constructive criticism + know what players really want). Because else, people with no life/12 year olds will f*ck the beta up (and yes, it'll result in "Z0mg h4ve y0u play3d MT4S4!!!!11!!" or "bugz found, h4xxxor". ps: I'm not saying I want to be in the beta ... far from so you can put those comments of "hey prick, you want yourself to test it right?" away. I just want to help/give some word of advice

Indeed ... and it's rather unfair for others to use AUTOAIM while we have to aim ourselves (well, I like it better but in fact it's just plain unfair). So please ... don't put autoaim in!
-
Haha ... I really love the discussions here... it's really getting bigger and bigger. IMO it's all true what they say. Quoted for the truth! I don't wan't to sound rude/simple but this is actually the only (temporary) solution!

Seriously ... stable enough for the public? The only thing the PUBLIC (=> meaning retarded 10 year old who moan about how bad it is when it's released/how lame it is when it's unreleased) wants is plain, dumb arcade deathmatch. You are all making these extra additions for only one public (and that's why it's taking so long ... if you're finished this public will be over): the hardcore fanboys... the ones who know how to use the mapping tool ... the ones who know how to use all those scripts. The normal public wants a MP game where you have some new stuff in (=> like you guys added: customise your own CJ... weapons skill and other skills ... original MP features .. etc etc). IF it's 100% stable, they/we don't care... if it's playable and TESTABLE, we care about that! Look at SAMP; it's so popular because the public may test it (well yeah... in someway it's testing). The only thing we get here is vague promises and some screenshot (weekly? 2/3 times a week?). Seriously ... get some PR manager or something ... who says to the team: get THIS video done ... one minute is enough to show alot of features and new, exciting, stuff to the public (=> watch the GTA4 trailer + watch the gtaforums and you'll know what I mean)
-
I hope friggin so ... weaponskills, well overall skill (driving/biking/plane/stamina/fat etc) should be included... but I don't doubt about it. But seriously ... it's taking a long time.
-
Why-o-why do I find that friggin' funny?!
-
Well, I did the same but it looked a bit f*cked than. (=> player was standing instead + wasn't holding the bike). Some nice scripters could do the job? For cars too . Anyways, we are going offtopic
-
Is it already confirmed? I wasn't so sure about it... but if you say so .
-
Well this is in someway a "custom" animation: Yeah it was already ingame, but in fact it's a new anim . Shame they didn't put it into the normal game... would be hell lotta fun!
-
ZOMG LETS BE PATIENT BECAUSE THE COMPETITION HAS A SOMEWHAT STABLE DEATHMATCH (you can actually kill and harm other people now!) Please... instead of adding numerous features, you should stick to the base (this is my advice for GTA4 online, if it's not out of the box: just create the basics: good working deathmatch, fair shooting (you can hit eachother, not you killing someone but you are the one who dies...) and after that: release the stable deathmatch, add the new features like cars, mapmaking etc etc...
-
I know that, and it's logical: more people, different rigs playing it => more possible bugs that might pop up! You guys should have done it earlier... but we already know you guys.
-
It wasn't that hard was it? This is more like it... but than at least 2 times a month. And I can friggin' live with "not many" gamemodes... there are enough cool and original idea's in the community.
-
Don't count on it ... it might even end out to be 1Q 2008
-
Please, most people know that. I've done some testing too for mod teams, and I know it's alot of work, and the playtime isn't for fun (doing the same thing over and over again, different places to see if there's no crash). Yes we already know that... and that's why I post this to open your eyes that we heard this enough. The only way, and I know this from experience, to keep your fans/public happy is to get some news out often. A small 1 minute video about testing, a few lines on the mainpage that tells us what exactly you have tested, what the future plans are... ps: (YES! I know you guys think this is whining, and YES I know you think I'm a geeky 11 year old without a life, but I'm not...). edit: and if you need someone to do the job, keeping the whiners/newcomers down, you can ask me or someone else. It isn't that hard. Just contact someone, tell him if he's up for the job, say when he has to be online and what he has to respond if they have certain "nooby" response. It's actually the job of admins/mod's/QA/modteam itself, but it looks like you people have no life/time besides the mod/RL. (DON'T take this offensive...)

Q: Why are you taking so long, and why are engrish speaking people flooding the forums with lame questions? A: First of all, we aren't responsible for engrish speaking people. Engrish is not our fault, it's the fault of the people who have created it (=> lack of interest in the english language/lack of concentration in english class). Secondly, MTADM will come out soon ... and soon is ... really soon... The time taken was for testing and bug fixing... yes we were really fixing bugs...
-
Still ... they are really taking their time (and where are those promised weekly updates? Daily screenshots?) If you promise something, you should fullfill those promises. And if you cannot fullfill them, just apologise later on (and later on is in MAX 2/3 weeks later... not 2 months later and saying how good you are working, but not being able to show progress).
-
Maybe because it has been asked too many times No, because we get it answered on many, DIFFERENT questions. Well... we'll just see. Now the "soon" already changed into "in the end". They're becoming fair .
-
Still, if you got moderators/admins who care they can delete the double postage... Not that hard. Or, just one topic where you can post your bugs... if there are new bugs, they'll be added in the first post. NON-BUG related posts in that topic=deleted. Topics/posts about bugs in non bug topic areas = delete. Not that hard? Just don't hide behind all these excuses .
-
I was going to say that ... but yes it's so true .
-
He doesnt... I'm sure he's just talking to draw attention.

What is early summer for you guys? Speaking of when summertime? (We, have spring ... but the weather feels like it's summer). You know what I mean? Be more specific, kthanks!

It's a beta yes, but it was a PUBLIC BETA, ment for FIXING AND REPORTING BUGS. So please, don't bash others if you don't know what you are talking about. -
No, they just point out that they are finished ... well, sort of. And they are going to pick a releasedate... which will probably be somewhere in the "near" future.
-
So, you mean, like, it's almost finished, but just not finished enough to be released as public beta because it isn't actually finished but still it's finished??? *** *** Well, if you say what you guys/we guys are up to, we will know and understand what the situation is. Don't come give us BS in our mouths, because sooner or later (and yes, this problem is already here) people are getting mad because they want to know how it exactly is, and not the same "vague" words we heard for the 100th time. (YES this may sound as bs/whining to you, but it's actually constructive criticism... and be happy, you can discuss, this ain't the 100th post of a 10 year old who wants to know "Whan teh hellz MTASA is goin' to be fackin' released yo yo!!!111")
-
Still, they are being very vague IMO. They also mention in the interview that they are currently planning public tests/releases. That's totally contradictory to what they have been saying all along: you guys were saying that the tools were still to be finished + was time consuming + release/pub testing aren't coming anytime soon...)
