  1. Well I don't know what to say. So far I've only done one map with so many checkpoints, and any way I tried I could get to display the 26th checkpoint.Do you want me to send the map so you can check by yourself?

    Manhunt :)

Sounds good. Only, if the hunted man only has a baseball bat, he's fucked. He can't have just a melée weapon. I think he should have a better weapon than the others, otherwise he's gonna get to easily killed. I guess it takes quite much thinking and trying to get to a really good implementation of it. I also think that the hunted man would have to deserve to be the hunted man, like, have to be like the best hunter to be the HM. otherwise if you let the first n00b be the hunted man it's gonna suck.
  3. I made a nice lil map in MTA:SA, the only problem is that I can't get to end editing it, because when I test the race, all checkpoints appear up to the 25th, but the 26th and all the others just ain't appearing, either on the screen either on the map, they just ain't there. Is there a limit to 25 checkpoints?? If so why?
  4. I gotta bump it. Don't tell me that nobody out here encountered that problem? MTA is just unplayable to me because of that

    Conquest mode

I think a Conquest mode, à la Battefield, could be nice. It could turn GTA from a racing game/stunting game/kill random people game to a war game A few positions would be set on the map, all over the map or just in an area of it. Those positions, consisting of a flag or just area and that would be taken over by the presence of a member of an enemy team as no member of the team who owns it is there, would have some "stuff" build around it to kind of barricade it. I don't know what it could be, it could be walls of bags of sand, it could be trucks, it could be and accidented train, a crashed plane, idk. Around this area, vehicles would spawn, regularly and depending on which teams owns it. Also, there should be weapons and those health and bulletproof vest things. The spawning would be made at these positions, of course, spawning at a base owned by you. There could also be un-takeoverable spawn points that belong to a precise team, it could be some point in the air from which you would drop, a cargo plane from which you would spawn and jump, or just some point somewhere. Besides the positions, there would be vehicles to spawn all around, but I think no war vehicle should spawn outside of positions, besides maybe some helicopter. Still in the Battlefield analogy, there could be a point system, points decresing depending on how many positions your teams hold. Well basically, call that a Battlefield mod.
  6. They are. No longer than two days ago I used some utility to wipe the graphic drivers out and installed the latest release from nVidia's site. I have the feeling that this issue is not of a graphical nature, but it's just a feeling

  8. I observed a strange behavior with MTA. When I first load the map editor, everything goes smoothly, like at least 25 FPS. But once I join a game, the FPS drops below 5, and often below 1 FPS (!!). At the same time, I notice in the task manager that gta_sa.exe uses hardly more than 1% of CPU (tested as the online game was running in the background), as GTA as a superior process priority and that no other process takes the rest of the CPU anyways, as I guess I could expect a big use of the CPU. Once I go back to the map editor, it's still all below 5 FPS, even tho i'm disconnected from the server etc.. Has anyone an explanation or a fix or did I spot some bug?
