  1. I somtimes see some players that won't drown. They just are unter water

with full energy. I mean, that happend to me too once, but there are

some players that never drown. Is this only possible on servers without

anti-cheat enabled or is this case not covered by anticheat?

I've seen this one a few times - the last time it happened somone speccing drew everyones attention to a certain player, and when i spec'd him he was as you say under the water on a bmx with full health. Then he came on the chat and said "What are you talking about im dead im speccing other people" i changed my 123 view and straight away it switched to another player and i couldnt switch back to spec him again. Definately sounds like some sort of wierd bug.

  2. I created a tree less SA map but it's only 8930 objects, and MAP Editor doesn't like it :(

(It IS within the limits, 8930 objects divided over a 6000x6000 units field, with a maximum of 250 objects per 600x600 units field, i get 89.3 objects per 600x600 units field.)

You created a treeless SA map? :shocked!: Man you totally pWn. You are a god amongst those wise in the magic of mapping. A living legend. I salute you Sir. \:D/

Now..... about those damn poLes....

  3. Man jus about every server i been on this weekend its been custom maps - sure, there are some really good maps out there but they are very much in the minority at the mo. Its actually been very hard to get a decent race past few days as you spawn on a ledge 3 miles up halfway into the concrete then the 132 barrells around u explode and you get shot off at 300mph down a tunnel filled with more barrels then exit the tunnel and spawn into a stuntplane facing the wrong way still 2.5 miles up go thru a blue ring checkpoint where u respawn into a speedboat which falls for a bit then lands in the sea upside down and you drown.

I'm pretty sure this is just a temporary thing with most custom maps being the authors first map though so i aint too worried :D

  4. ...And i have been practicing hitting trees - i'm really good at it now

    haha.

Your vid sounds good, i look forward to seeing it :)

Well i wasnt planning on doing anything with it to be honest, i aint really a bigtime moviebod, i just like to have fraps running whenever i play for any interesting or "unique" moments.... however i am busy working on my latest GTASA movie, stunt vids are sooo five minutes ago this is a compilation featuring amongst other things my best tree-related "incidents" - it has a working title of "...When Stunts Go Wrong"

You got me thinking now tho, there is some good stuff there ...so yeah ok - i'll throw it all together & see what i can cook up  when i do i prseume i bung it in the Screens & movies section??

 Wow ^^^ try saying prseume it aint easy lol

  5. :D Reporting straight from the frontline, just thought i'd throw out a few observations in regards to online cheating, something that seems to upset real genuine players the most - and something that seems to be on the increase.

Problem is a lot of servers i been on, its a well known thing, players get kicked all the time for "suspected cheating", then 90% of the time sign straight back on with a "WTF??? How woz i cheetin??" and cheers & pisstaking from the other players.

Its happened to me twice too - the last time it happened id been dead for five minutes and was spectating others then suddenly im kicked off suspected cheating

... so of course i sign straight back on and im like "WTF??? How woz i cheetin????2" :laughing2:

Point is, because of this now most people dont trust or are reluctant to believe the anticheat is correct when it happens.

And despite the anticheat, i see a lot of people obviously using cheats - for example one server yesterday some kid in a Rhino was blasting around so fast he was unable to control it. Obviously all the other players knew he was cheating, but just had to put up with it as there didnt seem to be any admin - unfortunately this seems to be the case on most servers i been on too.

Later that afternoon, on another server, a bike race map started with my #1 favourite NRG500, got a good start and rode near perfect - for most of the race i was owning it way ahead of the pack  then 2 CPs from the finish some kid just shoots past me twice the speed im going and disappears into the distance to win the race. Now im damn fast on a bike so I was like wtf man come ooon. Again no admin activity / intervention at all so what could i do about it. Similar things have happened before on bike maps where i'm seemingly outclassed and someone will just shoot ahead much faster than me - the thing i found suspicious was when i come to the next sharp bend and they wiped out off the course - the fact these people might be superfast but seem to have very little cornering/handling skill or experience. What else could it be.

Maybe what we need is like on other MP games - an option for players to vote to kick someone off the server - IMO they are in the best position to keep a server straight - otherwise your gonna be relying on good/active/still breathing admin being present which im telling u aint a wise thing to do

 My god megapost - my apologies if many words make brain hurt

  6. Or... you could just load Windows Media Player in the background and get yourself an internet/multimedia keyboard that allows you to skip tracks. For some reason SA doesn't like any of my MP3's in the MP3 directory - yet will work on my Bro's computer. So, I just have them loaded in the background.

You dont even need a special keyboard - if you use a real music player that is

I use Winamp or QCD Player - which both have a Global Hotkeys feature, allowing you to bind all the music player controls to normal keys (or combos) so you dont even have to alt-tab out of MTASA to operate them :hello1:

Also, your spot on GTASA dont like mp3s - the game uses .ogg files instead and is optimised for them. I found the solution to be to convert the mp3s to ogg format and it plays those no problem. To be honest its a better format anyway and will save u a bit more diskspace too!

    \:D/

  7. Woah that gave me a flashback from the time i was new on GTAfur0ms and i dared post a thread saying something that somebody might have possibly once said in the past in another thread on an unrelated topic :confused2:

...took me years to recover and gain the courage to go back on another forum.. :eeeeek:

  8. Regretfully i kinda agree - a lot of players with high pings that see both when playing and spectating lag reeeally badly, jumping back n forth n side to side - to be honest i dunno how they could play like that; but when you're racing against them its sometimes impossible to get past them without getting wiped out or knocked off the course.

Far worse than that though is having to put up with a bunch of 12 year old idiots spamming the chat with swearing & insults against other players, but this is think is largely down to poor admin, from whom you get little or no intervention and wonder if they are even there at all. I can count on one hand the number of servers i've been on the past week (and i've been on a lot) where the admin actively gags and kicks any idiots.

  9. He has a very good point here - during my many hours online playing MTASA this week, i've noticed a lot of people complain about the audio - or lack of it - in spectator mode.

San Andreas and music go hand in hand, and without the audio accompaniment it feels a little empty :sad11: plus watching other people play aint always the most interesting thing in the world so it helps take your mind off it while you wait for the next game \:D/

    Give us the music!! 7419.gif

P.S. i sooo had to look accompaniment up in the dictionary

  10. Hi - first off, can i just say - really awesome mod love it to bitz :hello1:

Also, is there any way i can turn off the in-game hud? Ruins my screenshots man, i FRaPsed a couple of really cool multiplay moments last night too, but having the hud/scores etc on there just made them look a bit unprofessional :toothy7:

 Finally, i think there might be some sort of bug in the game causing me to crash into every pole, tree, and n00b on the map. Its almost like i'm magnetically attracted to them. Any ideas??? :?:
