Question

Whenever I try to "browse servers" or host my own or anything that involves connecting, it wont let me! I click the Browse Servers button, and when the server list shows up, nothing is displayed! I click refresh, nothing happens.. I try the other tabs ontop, nothing happens... I check and uncheck boxes, nothing... it just doesn't work! Help please :( (I have version 1.0.4)

This is an issue I've seen here a few times, you could try the following:

1. Download and install latest official 1.0.4 to a brand new directory

2. Turn off firewall and antivirus

3. Test

If that doesn't work, please provide OS, name of antivirus and firewall if applicable.

As a temporary solution, go to game-monitor.com and filter for Multi-Theft-Auto or go to monitor.mtasa.com

Use the Quick Connect option

1. Tried it & it didn't work..

2. I have my firewall set to "allow for all" for MTA, so that shouldn't be an issue

3. Nope, still the same

I use Windows 7 and AVD Internet Security 2011 (30-day trial version)

I don't have a specific server I want to play at the moment, but I'd still like to get the connection issue fixed.

At the bottom of the server list it says "Found 0/0 servers (Back up servers list)"

When I installed the 2nd one, it said there was a newer version and asked if I wanted to update to it. I remember last time I tried that it considered it as a virus.. so idk what happened there... I'll try the update and see what happens.

UPDATE: I tried it and when it got to 7% it blocked it... I looked into it and it doesn't really have any info on it. So i dunno what's doing on!

i got the same problem, when i first launched MTA it did ask for an update but it stoped at 100% and just didnt do anything, any help plz? :D

Have you tried following the steps I provided above?

Please try and temporarily disable your antivirus before updating, or add an exception if possible.
