Stringing

Hi guys

I want to operate on strings. So first - how to check if string have spaces and how to check that string have first letter big and rest small for ex. "George" is ok but "george" not.

string.find 

Ok so i know how to use it to check spaces but how to check big letters or small letters?

Make a table with a not allowed letters .

Use this simply function I just made for you:

function isStringFirstLetterUppercase ( str ) 
    local letter = str:sub ( 1, 1 ) 
  
    return ( letter:upper ( ) == letter ) 
end 

Test code:

outputChatBox ( tostring ( isStringFirstLetterUppercase ( "Hello World" ) ) ) -> true 
outputChatBox ( tostring ( isStringFirstLetterUppercase ( "hello World" ) ) ) -> false
