modifeid mta client unable to copy weapon.mta to weapon.dat

When i run mta it goes good until i press start game then an error bix comes up with nothing in it just yes and no and when u press yes it says

ERROR: unable to copy weapon.mta to weapon.dat \r\n\r\n\ you may want to do this manually then it says in the next box- you are running a modified version of the mta client please reinstall. I tryed everything I reinstalled it, I downloaded a new one, I reinstalled Vice City I checked known issus and nothing helps. PLEASE someone must know something?!

i have the same problem, please help someone! ive done everything it says on known issues and its all screwed up HELP!!!

I got that too. I uninstalled, deleted the GTA:VC folder, and reinstalled. I think it happens if you have mods.
