- maybe in the soundcard configuration or the speakers config there's an option to enable/disable this

- or maybe it's your speakers

try rebooting the computer and if it's not solved......sorry but can't help you more than that :(

i dont have a problem w/ echos but i did have a prob of my snd card being gay and repeating the last sound it made. fixed temp when i restarted. but i have smp thats prolly y... i fiex it by setting the interrupt affinity to proc0, but i dont think this is wat ur talkin bout
