Now whenever I open MTA it plays the opening trailer then just goes to blank screen and makes the windows "donk" sound. It stays at the blackscreen till I hit enter then it takes me back to the mta client. I have GTA3 patched to 1.1

do u use xfire? this causes me to crash when its loaded

Yeah, I edited my post into something remotely useful in an attempt to remove my warning. Best thing to do is reinstall, but that is a big pain. Makes sure you have all three movies in your movies folder, and that they are named: GTAtitles, GtatitlesGER, and Logo. Close all other programs when running mta to eliminate any other causes of pooness. And try deinstalling and reinstalling mta again. Idont know what else to suggest.
