dugasz1 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Hello everybody! I would like to recreate a few house to an exterior house. So it would be stay roughly the same model, i just want to cut out an interior. I would like to use the default textures for it so i start to search for the textures. I found the textures names with engineGetModelTextureNames but these names not the names of the txd file. So i would like to ask you guys how can i do it easily if it posibble. PS.: My knowledge in modelling and texturing is very low.
Captain Cody Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 the dff name is the same as the TXD name, look for it in GTA3.IMG
dugasz1 Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 I didn't find. For example "compmedhos5_lae.tff", there is no "compmedhos5_lae.txd"
Captain Cody Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Oh wait I was wrong, txd name is not the same as DFF in most cases. Search up the model ID on here, and it will give you the TXD http://dev.prineside.com/en/gtasa_samp_model_id/
dugasz1 Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) Oh many thanks. Is it possible to load the textures the model automatically? Or i have to retexture it? And how it's works? I mean how can i set in the 3ds max to use the comedhos1_la.txd's Bow_dryclean_wall_upr_crk named texture in this wall for example. I don't know nothing about dff and txd files structure. If you can suggest me some tutorials or something it would be great. Edited July 15, 2016 by Guest
Captain Cody Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 If you are modeling it in 3ds max, extract the txd to a folder, then set it to load textures in view point
dugasz1 Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Hmm two question. Can i extract all the txd in once or just save texture by texture. And where in the 3ds max can i set to load them? ( I guess you mean in the view menu on the top but where in the view menu?)
Captain Cody Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 http://gtaindonesia.blogspot.com/2014/0 ... actor.html And -- I forgot what it's called I'll load up 3ds max and tell you in a bit
Captain Cody Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Ok so you go to Views (Top) - Show materials in view point as -- Standard display with maps (or what ever your second option is)
dugasz1 Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 "Shaded Materials with map" in 2016. But if i click on it nothing happens. I guess because i have to load them but i haven't got a clue how to do that. Can you explain me that to?
Captain Cody Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 You need to define a texture dictonary, I'd recommend you just create a folder on your desktop and dump the textures in To do this go to Preferences -> Customize User paths -> External files, and just add a new one that leads to that dictionary.
dugasz1 Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Maybe i f*ck up something but nothing (sorry for my slow perception) image hosting over 2mb
dugasz1 Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Can we talk on skype? I'm joined to your link on your signature.
Captain Cody Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 I don't think 2016 will work correctly with SA models. I use 2013, and 2017 haven't tried with 2016
dugasz1 Posted July 17, 2016 Author Posted July 17, 2016 Thank you i will download 2013 and give it a try
