Guest Posted November 8, 2004 Share Posted November 8, 2004 Since so many people have problems with ports, would it be possible for the MTA Server to open the ports if you select the option to? Maybe it could detect router settings and change them if you supplied the username, password and adress to it. Its just an idea for those that maybe dont know as much about that area. Link to comment
eAi Posted November 8, 2004 Share Posted November 8, 2004 Doing this would be creating an entire new piece of software for a fairly small number of people who want to run an MTA server yet can't read the manual of their router or firewall. In the end its not worth it, if you have a problem with a specific router, have a look on google, read the manual, check the manufacturers website for new firmware or known issues and finally ask us here. eAi Link to comment
