koeno100
I am making a script to display the shouts that are made on my website in the server. Currently I'm constantly querying the database where all the shouts are stored, but that would cause a lot of lag since I'm using a timer, and sometimes it skips shouts or doubles shouts. Is there a way I can for example write a function that when someone shouts something, it triggers a certain function in the LUA script through PHP or something like that? Link to comment
MTA Team botder Posted April 20, 2015 MTA Team Share Posted April 20, 2015 You can use sockets. Use the socket module and take a look at the irc resource, which makes use of the module, to understand the technique. Link to comment
