Help With MTA 0.41

Hey, i hope i don't sound like a n00b asking this question. i am a big fan of the gta series and i have gta3 pc version and i just ordered vice city. i have downloaded mta 0.41 but when i try to connect to a server, it says it cannot detect my game version and then crashes. i have patched my game to v1.1.

what can i do to fix this problem? any help is appreciated, thanks.

It says "Cannot detect version. Defaulting to 1.0". It crashes because it's not set to 1.1 (in the top right-hand corner).
