Guest
I get this problem 1 outta 5 times I die It will show the screen that it shows when you cross the boarder of the islands the "Welcome to vice city" and it takes like 5-6 minutes to load back to the character selection screen or I crash, During these crashes I cannot close mta or alt+tab out I HAVE to wait or shut my computer off manualy.I dont know if anyone els has encountered this problem but half the time when I start the game when I first join a server and after its done loading I get the same thing when I Go to pick a character, as soon as I get my chance to pick my character when I do it does it AGAIN.This is a real pain in the ass especially since it happens most during 1on1s and I dont know if its a problem I can get fixed or if I have to deal with it but I wanna know if you guys can help Im fine either way but I would be happy if it can be stopped I like mta very much and I would probobly pay to play if it wasnt free thank god it is =P.So help me out will ya? Guest
This is a real pain in the ass especially since it happens most during 1on1s and I dont know if its a problem I can get fixed or if I have to deal with it are you sure of that? if you are, then it could be caused (partly maybe) by the server. do you play 1 on 1 on a different server then normally? do you always play 1 on 1 on the server? if the answers to that questions are 'yes,' then it probably has omething to do with the server... Slothman
it sounds to me like the sytem specs are low-end. transferring between islands can overload pcs if it's done often and quickly (remember the .4 char select). i had a problem like that, but not as extreme. i was using a geforce2 and transferring between islands took way to long, often killing my heli passengers (sorry fellas) and crashing. i turned down the resolution to minimum and the problem reduced, but it didnt go away till i upgraded my cpu and video card.
